We learned about "wrapping" a boat. A wrapped boat is not a good thing.
Notice the people on the rock. Their boat is wrapped.
Notice the wrapped boat to the left of the rock (bit of yellow
immediately to the left of the people).
The force of the water is holding the boat tight against the rock.
The people
on the rock are not going to get it free by themselves.
Notice the other yellow boat (same outfitter) lending assistance.
Further down the river, we saw another boat being de-wrapped. It
involved running a "Z line"
(pulley system running clear across the river) to pry the boat off the
rock.
The people in this picture will be waiting about an hour to get their
boat un-wrapped.
